Protex AI CEO Dan Hobbs On Thinking Big & De-Risking Entrepreneurship
“Having Salesforce Ventures on our side, with your depth of experience and wealth of insights, isn’t just a good choice — it’s a no-brainer.”
Nowi Kallen is a Managing Director at Salesforce Ventures. He focuses on multi-stage investing in software companies addressing big pain points, particularly in cybersecurity, cloud and data infrastructure, GMT and vertical SaaS. Investments he led include Wiz, ElevenLabs, PointFive, Sixfold, Avalor (acquired by Zscaler), Oleria, and Snyk. He also invested in Contentful, Miro, Gong, Aiven, Laminar (acquired by Rubrik), and Monday.com (Nasdaq: MNDY).
Having lived on three continents, Nowi strongly believes that great companies can be built anywhere and is particularly focused on backing technical founders. He can often be found looking for investment opportunities in less charted territories or remote-first companies. He thinks we are still in the early innings of enterprise automation (not least given AI), and is optimistic about how this will transform companies and improve people’s lives in the future.
Before joining Salesforce Ventures, Nowi was an investor at tech investment firm Vitruvian Partners, focusing primarily on software. He started his career advising security and other software companies on M&A and IPOs at Barclays in New York City and London.
